About Diamond64

Diamond64 is a free platform for NCAA Division I college baseball. Live scores, RPI rankings, team resumes, bracket projections, and a what-if simulator — all in one place.

RPI Formula

The Rating Percentage Index (RPI) is calculated as:

RPI = 0.25 × WP + 0.50 × OWP + 0.25 × OOWP
  • WP — Weighted winning percentage (road wins weighted 1.3×, home wins 0.7×, neutral 1.0×)
  • OWP — Opponents' winning percentage (excluding games against the team in question)
  • OOWP — Opponents' opponents' winning percentage

Our RPI values may differ slightly from official NCAA rankings due to differences in game data timing, exhibition/non-countable game handling, and rounding.

Quadrant Thresholds

Games are classified into quadrants based on the opponent's RPI rank and the game location:

Bracket Scoring Weights

FAQ

How often is data updated?

Scores are synced every 15 minutes during game days. RPI rankings and bracket projections are recalculated nightly. Schedules are updated daily.

Why does my team's RPI differ from the official NCAA ranking?

Minor differences can occur due to game data timing (we may include or exclude games at different cutoff times), handling of exhibition or non-countable games, and rounding differences. Our formula follows the standard NCAA RPI methodology.

How does the what-if simulator work?

The simulator downloads all D1 game results and runs the full RPI calculation in your browser. When you toggle game outcomes, it recalculates RPI rankings for all ~300 teams instantly — no server round-trip needed.

Is this affiliated with the NCAA?

No. Diamond64 is an independent, fan-built project. It is not endorsed by, affiliated with, or sponsored by the NCAA or any member institution.
